problem with vegas upgrade
i bought vegas 8.a off ebay last year at a good price, but it was for just the cd sealed in the white envelope with the product key etc on the back.
it all works fine but when i try to install 8.b and enter my serial it restarts the program and tells me i have 14 days trial left, ive tried a few times and the same thing happens every time which leads me to think i may have bought a pirated copy or an i doing something wrong? the cd and envelope look genuine with the bar code etc on the back but this problem is making me wonder what do you guys think? |

Sounds like a dodgy copy.
Paul.

Installing 8.0b on top of 8.0a should NOT ask for a serial number again. That leads me to believe you may have purchased a "cracked" key.

Yep, Sony 8.0a on a CD disk with the serial outside seems marginal to me. Especially considering it's coming from eBay.
Your best bet at this point is probably to wait until Sony 9 comes out and hope your "cracked" serial number for 8.0a works for the upgrade which is usually very reasonably priced at about $200. Jon |
