Paste Attributes not working?
First major project in Vegas (8b)...
I've applied the color corrector FX to a clip. If I: 1.) Right-click, copy 2.) Left-click a target clip 3.) Right-click, paste event attributes Nothing shows under the FX list for the target clip. What's up? Actually, nothing is pasting to the target which inlcudes Pan/Crop. |

Rick, I have no idea what could be the problem, but I have an idea to narrow down the potential issues.
Open a new project, put some clips on the timeline and try the procedure you described...will tell you if it's project specific or Vegas issue...I use that feature tons, and fortunately hasn't happened to me... |

I opened up the troublesome project, did a "select all" and pasted them in a new one but that didn't help - I still can't copy/paste attributes from one clip to another - I tried various kinds. The project I'm having problems with is a 3 camera multitrack. I'm done with the edit and all multitrack toggles are off... it's just a single track now. Crap. I should have CC'd all the clips in the media bin - 3 tweaks is all it would've taken but I forgot. :( Unless I figure something out I'll have to assign a preset to each cut. Serves me right for not white balancing 2 cams. |

OK just to say we tried it all, open 2 instances of Vegas. Open the troublesome project, copy 1 clip and paste it into the other open instance of Vegas and then try the copy>paste attributes on it. If it works then there's something goofy going on in the one instance of Vegas. If not, then it sounds like the clip went goofy.

But the troublesome project contains all my imported media organized in bins. I'm going to do what I need in the second instance of Vegas then copy the whole works back to the original - I ain't licked yet. I'm thinking a multicam edit combined with wearing the wrong shoes while doing it is the likely cause of this problem. Or maybe Mondays are bad Vegas days? Leave it to me to find the once-in-a-million quirk in this thing. |

Rick,
Try dragging the bins from one project into the other project. See if that alleviates the problem.
