Recreating this Text Effect
I would like to recreate (well, as close as possible) the opening titles sequence of the 1978 Superman movie (arguably ,the best titles sequence ever).
The text begins completely off screen in the foreground and "flies" into the center of the screen to the vanishing point. If you don't recall the sequence, it's difficult to explain, but I'm told that the "Shine" effect by Trapcode is what is needed, but I want to use Vegas exclusively NOT some other program. Any ideas? Anyone remember this text effect? ---Dale |

you can do it in Vegas but need some patience. after setting the text use the pan/crop feature with keyframes to make the text move and resize OR you can pick up Bluff Titler (about $40 US) anddo it in no time. A very inexpensive but POWERFUL program.
Remember KEYFRAMES are your friend! O|O \__/ Don |

Don.
Is Bluff Titler a plug-in for vegas or a seperate program. I just looked at the website and it looks like a very good program. Paul.

seperate program. you can render to AVI or uncompressed AVI to keep the alpha channel.
The program can be lots of fun to work with and you can get some really great titles with it. Don |

Ah right, i see.
So i would just make the title as a "short video clip" and then just drag that short clip onto the timeline at the beginning of my project. Thanks Don. Paul.
