Vegas and EX1 raw files. How much longer ?

Does anyone know how long it'll be before Vegas can use the files straight from the EX1/EX3 without the need for rewrapping ?
Vegas pro 8 (c) i presume ?

I don't know that I'd expect to see it in 8c (or not), but it would be nice. However...there is more to it than meets the eye...
Are you re-wrapping at import, or are you doing it file by file?
Doing it on import is identical in time to importing on my MacBook Pro running Bootcamp.

Importing versus rewrapping time, not on clip browser V2.
With copying, via express card slot takes about 3 mins for a full 8gb card.
Rewrapping can take up to 15 mins, however this seems to be the case when a clip spans 2 cards. When a clip spans across to another card, the clip browser seems to "hang" whilst converting.
I reinstalled clip browser V1 because it was quicker and when i tried to rewrap some 720/50p i had a message saying "unspecified format", so i suppose the bottom line is, V2 is more stable than V1, but slower.
I was under the impression that there was going to be an update to vegas soon along with dvd-a 5, which we've now got.

Paul.
