Before i start learning Vegas 8.0....
Hi guys ...
before i spend a lot of time learning Sony Vegas 8.0 , i just have a quick newbie question... i am trying to edit a show which me and couple of my friends would submit to a TV channel hoping they buy our show.... my question is ... is Sony Vegas good enough to edit a TV broadcastable show ?.. also which version... i know answer might be "it depends" but are people using it in the industry? also ..what would be a good starting point in learning some good stuff? thanksss

there have actually been a number of TV shows done on Vegas. IIRC CBS uses it for news (maybe it's NBC) Spot (Douglas Spotted Eagle) did a lot of the teahing over there. Frankly IMO it doesn't matter what it's cut on. It could be Movie Maker-as long as the finished product is well done and to the standards that were set for your product.
BTW, I've done about 7 or 8 TV commericals with Vegas using versions 4 5 and 6. I'm still using 6 and recently did another commercial. HTHs Don |
