Moving from Vegas 7.0 to 8.0 this week at DVinfo.net

Can someone please tell me if 8.0 has more transitions. I'm not looking forward to purchasing prodad or FX if I can help it. But with AVID sitting here next to me in a box I am worried that the transitions aren't as good in Vegas as in AVID.

Vegas 8 has the same transitions as Vegas 7. Besides prdDad, you might also want to look at NewBlueFX for more transitions.

What do you mean by "transitions not as good"? That it includes fewer? Or the quality is lower?

As far as transitions are concerned, the two I use 99.9% of the time are CUT and DISSOLVE.

actually, I think vegas has more native transitions than avid.

Also keep in mind when you move to version 8, you can download and upgrade to the New DVD Architech 5 that was just released for FREE!!!! Allows Bluray burning and HD menu options....
