JVC monitor setup
Finally ordered the JVC TMH-1500CGU so highly recommended by video sages on this board. Along with the Grass Valley ADVC-110 I'm hoping I'll be all set.
Then it occurs to me: nothing is ever as simple as I imagine it is going to be. So, in a pre-emptive strike, I am reaching out in advance. What kind of setup is involved? I understand how the connections work - firewire from PC to converter then RCA connectors from converter out to monitor. At least that's what I think it is. No I'm asking about after it's hooked up. Will this arrangement work properly out of the box, or does anything likely need adjusted so that I can see accurate colors? Thanks in advance for any assistance. |

I have the same setup as you. You will more than likely need to calibrate the monitor using color bars. Here are some links I used as a guide to set mine up:
