AC3 audio to WAV, is it a good idea?
I have some music in AC3 format that I want to convert to either WAV or MP3 to listen in the car. Since AC3 is a compressed format, it makes sense to go the MP3 route. WAV is uncompressed, would there be too much "noise" going from AC3 to WAV?
Thanks, |

IMHO in a car I very much doubt you'd notice anyway - but generally this would not be a good idea.

Can your car play MP3 files? If you're going to create an audio CD, I'd convert to WAV.

My car can play MP3, my wife's can't. I guess I'll try both ways and see how the sound is.
Thanks, |
