Movie Studio Platinum - changing the sky colour
Hi all, I want to turn the sky behind an outline of building to a different colour to make a 'nightmarish' effect ...very similar to the effects used in David Bowie's 'Ashes to Ashes' video. Is this achievable in Movie Studio? What FX should I use?
Thanks in advance. |

if MSP has Secondary Colour Corrector filter, try using the colour picker to sample the sky, use the limiters to adjust (tick the show mask box for this bit), then use the top-half of the filter to create the effect.
cc2 might not work; it depends on how different the cloud / sky is from the rest of the image... for subtle adjustments its pretty useful, but mileage can vary depending on how extreme the effect is. another option is to create an animated mask that tracks the cloud / sky through-out the shot and go from there... not sure if that can be done in MSP either, but if so, it may give better results. |
