Opacity/keyframes
Good Morning,
I have checked the manual, and my vaast dvd but I can not sort out if I can place keyframes anywhere along the opacity line and then adjust those levels to whatever I desire along a clip/event. Coming from premiere I use this function quite often for various reasons. Can I do that?? and How? Thankyou for any help!!!

Add a "Composite Envelope" to your track. That will allow you to adjust the opacity and allows adding multiple keyframes as desired.

Edward,
Thank you, With your information I sorted that out with help from the manual. I got the ruberband and could in fact place keyframes on it to adjust the opacity. However I could not see it actually effecting the opacity of the event when I played it. Does it have to be rendered? I am as usual probably missing something simple. I am not sure I understand the whole picture of the composite envelope. what a learning curve for Vegas. I really like the program and learning is what is all about anyway!! thanks for the help!!!

You should definitely be able to see it on the preview screen. As you lower the level, that event should become more transparent allowing the lower events to show through.
