How to Import .mov PWM EX1 files?

From a friend I got some EX1 footage. Unfortunate the .mp4 files from the camera were converted into .mov and are no longer availiable.
Any idea how to import these files into Vegas? Renaming into mp4, mpg, mxf etc. does not work.
I managed to get the video stream via a freeware workaround, but I can not extract any audio.
The latest Quicktime 7.xxx is installed.
