OT: Lavalier comparison
For those of you wondering what the differences are between different lavs, Lavalier comparison is the link to a comparison of 16 popular models with prices ranging from $179 to $649.

Thanks for this.
I recently had to do a quick and dirty shoot and didn't have a lav available where I was, so I bought a cheap wired lavalier from Radio Shack for twenty-five bucks. It worked like a charm and sounded great. Just goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to get good sound these days. |
