workflow for Canon HV20 24p at DVinfo.net

what would be the workflow if I'd like to produce 24p from Canon HV20

For the time being, I'd capture using the Cineform Neo tool, and then edit in Vegas as a standard 24p file.

hopefully canon ( that stupid notion of how they do the file seems downright idiotic to me ).

I am surprised the vegas cannot detect it the same as neo can, that makes no sense to me.
