Audio drop out
I've completed my hunting doco and had copies professionally replicated but have a problem. The dvd plays fine in most players but in some it has sound drop outs in the same place.Ive sold over 700 copies and am only getting the trouble with a few customers.I burnt a copy off my computer at a slower burn speed (thinking that might help)and sent it to a guy who had the problem but he's just replied that it is still the same.I can take one of the problem dvds and play it in a different player an it is fine. How can this be????
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rick |

What do the waveforms look like on the timeline at those trouble spots? If it's good on the timeline, then that's not where your problem is. And if the same disks play just fine in different players, I'd say you're safe all the out to the master. Beyond that, I just don't know.

My guess is that they're using a really cheap (i.e. piece of junk) DVD player.
I've seen some on sale lately for as low as $20. You get what you pay for :-( |

the wave forms seem fine on the time line and it plays without problem on most dvd players. Its just very frustrating when someone purchases one of my dvds and has a problem with it.
