Gold Text Effect Titles

Before I started using Vegas, I used Ulead Media Studio Pro. I created a gold title PNG in Photopaint and used it often in my videos.
However, when I try to use the same PNG in Vegas, the gold letters simply do not show up as gold when I set the track to multiply mask.
I can't figure this one out but is there a tutorial on how to create metallic gold text in Vegas. I have searched the internet and came up with nothing.

Can you post the .PNG?

Multiply mask will just use a luma masking based on the track that you're using and apply it to tracks below it ( and only children tracks if you make it a parent to other tracks.
