25p footage rendered for PC sharing.
Hi
I have recently purchased a HG10 and with the help of this forum I have been able to find some good rendering settings. I want to create footage for viewing on PC only. The raw mts will be stored untill I buy a BD burner. For normal 50i: My settings in vegas pro 8 are: 1440 x 1080 none (progressive scan) 1.3333 (Hdv 1080) 25.000 (pal) 8-bit 2.222 (video) Good Gaussian Interpolate fields I render as (for sharing vimeo etc): AVC (sony) 1280 x 720 Main Cabac 25.000 (Pal) None (progressive scan) 1.000 5,000,000 bps These setting seem to produce reasonable results but if I play resulting file in QT it only plays at 12.5 fps even though the movie is 25 fps. It seems to play smoother in WMP so I presume it is playing 25fps. Also Nero showtime player seems better for Mp4 I have tried maybe 50 variations on trial and error. I got good results with .wmv also. For 1920 x 1080 I increase the bit rate to 10 million in AVC render Today I tried a minute of footage recorded at pf25 and using 'cine mode' (think I will use tv at 25 next time with pf25) Are the above setting normal for ordinary 50i? Should the be different for rendering 25p recordings? Has anybody got other settings they have found to be good for PC playback? Thank you in advance Pascal |

Maybe my original post was too long and boring. Its really the end that I was interested in ideas on and your settings for vegas pro with 25p: Quote:
