Text animation on existing logos?
Can anyone tell me how to go about animating an existing logo similar to the way you can create text with special motion effects in ProTitler or Boris?
I am specifically thinking of a way to make the text fly in one letter at a time from the left side of the screen until it centers in the frame. Thanks! |

Any piece of a logo that you want to treat independantly from the rest needs to be its own element. You'd probably cut up the logo in Photoshop.
Then, save each individual element out of photoshop in a format that supports transparency, like .png. Now, you're ready to pull in each element and do your moves in Vegas with event pan/crop and track motion. This is detailed, tedious work - be sure to save all the pieces you're working on because you'll probably have to go back a few times to get everything right. |

Thanks Seth,
I understand where you're coming from, and I have thought of something like that, but surely there's some program or plug in that can automate this in some way to eliminate the tedium? |
