Few Questions
I broke down and ordered 6.0 and the update to 8.0 via B&H.
The 8.0 will take longer to get here and I was wondering if I start a project in 6.0 whether it can later be used in 8.0 when it finally arrives? Are the vasst dvd tutorials a worthy investment? I am moving over from premiere pro/&support programs.

Yes to both questions. I've got a number of the VASST DVDs and they're great.
On the Vegas 6 vs. Vegas 8 issue, do yourself a favour. First of all, keep Vegas 6 on your computer (they'll co-exist just fine) until you have everything worked out to your satisfaction AND this project is finished. Next, save the project as something like myvideo-V6.veg. The first time you open it in Vegas 8, save it immediately as myvideo-V8.veg. That way, if you have any issues with Vegas 8, you can still go back to Vegas 6 and continue working. |

Mike,
thankyou for the information. that is a good idea about saving as two distinct files!! In the past with premiere I often saved files as two different files in two different places, defense mode after some terrible happenings. thanks again. dale
