How Flexible is scripting in Vegas?
I have never done much scripting. But I am now going to need to do extensive scripting. How flexible is scripting in Vegas? Of the popular NLE's (Vegas, FCP, Premiere), which has the most flexiblity with scripting and allows you to do the most?

while I don't do any scripting I do use scripts all the time. A hugh timesaver.
There are lots and lots and lots of scripts out there for Vegas and it seems like most can be modified without much effort to change them to do EXACTLY what one may want. Edward Troxel has lots of scripts as does Douglas (Spot) and others. I believe there is a link to scripts on the VAAST site and on Edwards Sites as well. Don |

Thanks for the reply Don. I will go to those respective sites to see what I can learn. VAAST is a great resource, and I have never been to Edward Troxel's so I am looking forward to seeing what he has to offer as well.

Bill, scripting is VERY extensive. It's amazing what can be done with scripts. If you e-mail me with more details of what you're trying to do, I can give you a better estimation if what you're wanting to do can be done.
I've never heard of the other applications having a scripting engine like Vegas. However, I've never used them either.
