Easy... I do it all the time.
Pan and Crop Keyframes are your friend, as are 3d track motion KF's but not to that much of an extent for something like this. |

Although you can position and animate objects in pseudo-3d space in Vegas, you don't have a virtual camera to move around them. That means you have to simulate travelling through the objects by moving them 'towards you' (if that makes sense). It's do-able, but by no means straightforward.
I would suggest this is a job for After Effects rather than Vegas. |
