Crash on build of audio peaks
Hi All,
I have an m2ts file that DVD Architect will build audio peaks from quite successfully, but will (repeatibly) crash Vegas Movie Studio Platinum at %26 build. Adding the relevant .sfk file (made by DVD Architect) into the folder where my VMSP project resides does not stop the software from trying to build the peaks, and subsequently crashing. From what I have read here already, it seems like use of MPEG2Repair is in order. I will try it tonight, but does this seem like the correct option given the circumstances? Thanks, Tim |

Yep, did the trick, except, as expected, the video preview is now pretty darn slow. It would seem the best option is to use the original file with problems for editing then replace it with the fixed one before rendering, i.e. it's better to see what you are doing accurately than seeing the peaks since the sound is played normally during edit anyway, and this tells you what to do with volume adjustment.
If there is an option that does not slow down video preview then I would be keen to hear about it. |
