Excalibar
Does Excalibar allow fx and track stretching to be brought into its multicam system?
I've read that in it, fx can be applied to individual events - which I need to do. |

Excalibur can do all sorts of great and amazing things but lets do 1 thing at a time. The multicam option is for cutting a multicam, multitrack project with the touch a a button or 2. Once you have a Master track THEN apply FX - that way you know that the cut you have is the cut you want. Excalibur can then apply the FXs you want to the clips you want it applied to again with the one button approach.

If you apply effects on the event on the original camera tracks, those effects WILL be carried up to the Master track. If you apply any effects at the track level, those will NOT be carried up to the Master track. You can also apply effects in the Project Media and that will be applied everywhere that media is used in the project.
If you stretch an event, it *should* be carried up to the Master track. However, I have not tested that.
