HDV - how many fps?
Hi.
In our PAL country, we use 25 fps interlaced in our DVD players. In USA for an example, they use NTSC 29.970 fps. But in those new Blu-ray & HD-DVD players, how many fps are they using? Do they have any native fps they are using? Are it possible to play a 50fps 1280x720p mpeg-2 stream in those players? What I have understood about High Definition Video, it doesnt concern PAL or NTSC. HDV is a universal format which is not country restricted. I'm i right? |

Im asking because im not restricted to camera fps...
I'm doing a photo montage, without any clips from camera. So I have the opportunity to choose 50fps... |

Blu-ray supports 50p at 1080 and 720, but HD DVD only supports 50p at 720.
HD is the same resolution regardless of which country/geographic area you're in; only the frame rate is different.
