Timeline- Stream or Target fps?
I am trying to get understand the Sony manual but I seem to be missing something in Vegas. I have Vegas 7 but can get 8.
I am shooting HDV in a 24A mode which makes a 60i M2T file. So does my timeline need to be (60i) or the embedded (24p)? If it has to be 60i, how do I edit? Won't I messup the cadence unless I am extremly strict on the cuts? Or is it doing an auto pulldown? How can I confirm? I woudl like to edit in 24P. However, then manual says that to get the 24P, I have to render with NSTC DV 24, but I want HD... So do I export and then edit the new file? |

Why is everything referred to as NTSC 24P DV? Even in those links, like the Sony manual, it says choose the NTSC 24P DV template but my files are HDV... Do I just change the resolution to what I have?
This is my confusion, everything seems to be writen for DV (SD) when I am working in HDV (HD). |
