Interesting reading Grazie, thanks.
One of the key reasons that sorting will have to be done some time (soonish!) is because I charge each new client for the cost of a dedicated hard drive (plus set-up) for all their project data. These data are currently loosely spread across a several terabytes of disk. I feel guilty!! Anyway, spending some time with MM would, I think, be time well invested.
