Black levels during a fade and studio rgb.
Question 1) Never thought that applying a fade would give me headaches. I have a project that I have set to studio rgb (16-235)...black levels holding at 0 on the waveform. What am I doing wrong that causes the black levels to raise as it goes into a fade to black? It actually causes the level to almost pulsate as it fades to black. As the fade happens, the high end drops and the low end raises, and then as it gets beyond halfway thru the fade then it drops back to 0 on my waveform. This may be dv 101 (or 102), but I cannot achieve a consistant fade to black. I am not even sure if I am explaing this right.
Question 2) Also...setting up a project that uses studio rgb, what do you do in between two clips that are spaced apart on the timeline with nothing but black in between them? What I have done was just place a project long empty event with black background on the bottom timeline set to studio rgb black (16 16 16) Is this the way to do that or is there a project properties setting that I am missing. I hope all of that makes at least a bit of sense to someone. |

Hey Glenn,
Black generator? Is that just an empty event set to 16 RGB or is there an actual "black generator"? |
