Vegas 7 crashes opening clip
I just installed Vegas 7 from the CD and am in the process of initial "fooling around". I certainly don't know much about Vegas at this point.
I opened the program and tried to load a clip. As soon as I clicked the clip icon in the Vegas file display, the program crashed with what looked like a zero divide error. The clip had been captured by DV Rack. I tried the same think on a couple of clips that had been recorded to an FS-4 and copied to my hard drive and they opened fine and I could play them, overlap them and get fade in/out. just fine. But the clips captured via DV Rack consistently crash Vegas. It puts up a box saying "Exception" and then blows its brains out. Any ideas? I don't think crashing like this is acceptable behavior. Saying there's something wrong with the clip or giving some error indication or complaining about the file type or format would be OK, but crashing is not something professional programs do!!!! Any ideas? |
