Vegas doesn't recognize my DVX100B.
It seems like I've seen a thread on this somewhere here before--but I'll be damned if I can find it.
I have a Panasonic AG-DVX100B and a Vegas Platinum 8.0 trial (to expire in three days, no less). I can't for the life of me get it to recognize my camera. The first fix that comes to my head is to replace my firewire cable: I have a 6-pin to 4-pin cable; the camera takes the 4-pin side, but my laptop--of course--has only a 4-pin jack on it. So, I'm using a 6-pin to 4-pin adapter. Nonetheless, I am a college student on the road and would like to avoid buying a 4-pin to 4-pin cable (in crazily expensive Japan) if anyone out there has a software fix to suggest. "Save my budget--save the world!" ... or whatever that tag-line may be! Regards, Luke |

Hey Luke,
I had the same problem with my dvx. New cable fixed it. |
