??I can't see how the effect looks until i render it??
is there a way that in sony vegas 6 that i can make it show how it looks on the preview screen without me having to render the whole thing.
im usually just working with adding B&W and im trying to get less grey and more solid blacks and whites. |

Probably need to click the little circle like button in the preview window. This will either show you No effects, all effects, or split screen half and half. :)

Turn OFF "Split Screen View". It's the icon just above the preview screen that's a circle on a half dark half light background. There's a dropdown arrow beside it which allows you to pick the various modes. You apprently have it set to "Bypass Effects" and it's turned on.
