I don't think you drifted off track Marco...

Vegas is not perfect and there are some limitations but frankly, there are limitations with any NLE editor out there. It's a solid NLE that MANY people on these forums use. :)

Sorry to drift off track if I did.
Use it to capture DV, or HDV. Get NeoHDV from Cineform, and it handles editing of HDV with an intermediate file that is easier on your processor load, and will preview well..
