Vegas crashes when importing audio
Every time I import audio into the media manager or into the timeline in Vegas it just crashes, no error report or anything it just disappears. It's only these particular audio files that were ripped from a cd. They are basically interviews done over a tape recorder and converted to mp3 files. Any ideas?

Does your sound card support the parameters of the MP3 format that was used?
Additionally, prior to importing the mp3, you might try changing your sound card parameters in the Prefs to Windows/Classic.

There should be nothing different about this audio and any other audio that is on my PC. I ripped the tracks using Winamp and have just moved them to another folder on the hard drive. Btw I'm not sure what you mean by changing the parameters in Windows/Classic.

Not sure what caused the problem but I edited the audio my other workstation and it worked fine. Although the program did crash once during playback but other than that it was alright.
