How do I add fonts in Vegas 7?
I'm struggling trying to figure this out. I thought I would be able to find a font folder within the Vegas program, but I can't find the folder. Can someone tell me where it is located so I can add some fonts I downloaded from the net? Thanks.

Got to your window's control panel and click fonts, then add fonts. once you do this, you will be able to use them in any program on your system, including Vegas.

Vegas will recognize the fonts added to the Windows folder, and they'll show up in your Text generator. There isn't a mechanism that allows you to add fonts only to Vegas.

C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
As Emre indicated you can drop them in this folder.
Don't get too carried away, it impacts system performance if you add too many (I can't remember offhand how many, I think it's 400 or more.) Conversely, you need to retain the following fonts: - Arial - Courier - Courier New - Modern - MS Sans Serif [two may appear as MS Reference] - MS Serif - Symbol - Tahoma - Times Roman - Wingdings When adding/removing, try to add/remove the whole family, e.g. bookman, reg, bold, italic, etc. PS: The Font Thing is a good little tool to help you manage your fonts. |
