Gotta love those clients that take a year..
to get you their music..
then complain 2 weeks later that theyve "wated over a year" for it.. (even though theyve been sent one email each month reminding them, and each month theyve written back "I'll get back to you" what part of "editing will not begin until all associated materials are recieved" do they not understand.. ? oh the best part.. is that "they want a refund save for the filming costs" I dont think so Tim... |

Hey Peter,
I know how you feel. After having that happen once, I revised the contract so that their deadline for music submissions is the date of their wedding and we can proceed at our own discretion from there. I often will still work with couples ot get in selections after the wedding, but having that clause int he contract to fall back on make it great when your really busy and also makes it easier to lean on them to be quicker. |

Peter, we discussed this before and I think you made the comment about that music stipulation in your contract. That was the reason I put it in mine.
We feel your 'pain' Peter.

I have a project sitting in my bin from last October.
I give up after awhile on contacting them, Usually after 8 months they remember they paid me for something they dont have. I make my clients pay the remaining 50% of the bill the night of the shoot, for this reason alone. Mitzvahs are even worse than Weddings. |
