Let me clarify; I've never done a paid job on recycled tapes. I'm just saying that you will burn through a lot of tape at the average wedding. When I'm shooting a friend's wedding, I'm not going to buy new tapes for it considering that I've never dropped a single frame using recycled tape. I've got a ton of old tape and I'm not going to let it go to waste.

I don't reuse any tapes for any paying shoot. To me, the cost of the tapes is cheap compared to the cost of a lost shoot due to bad/reused tapes.
