commercial prices

Anyone shooting commercials, and infomercials for clients? What do you charge per minute and how much extra for titles and cgi? Also what lighting equipment might you need for shoots.

Thanks

Keep in mind air time alone on cable channel will run the client around $2000 depending on what channels they advertise on, what hours, and how often. Now you have to add in you shooting and editing time. This post has come up before and I think people get from $1000 - $6000 to shoot and edit the commercial. Also keep in mind it won't be beneficial for a local MA and PA shop to do commercials.

Sorry I don't have more info for ya.....

Also, I've heard that the local cable stations will shoot a cheapie commercial for next to nothing, charging basicly to air it. Hard to beat that, eh?

Yeah, I heard that too but I think it depends on the cable provider. Some do and some don't.

Most all do this in my area. Maybe a token $50 fee.

I guess the bigger question is, do the stations charge more to air a commercial you shoot for a client?
