iriver question

I have a opportunity to purchase a iRIVER iFP-799 can anyone tell me if this will work with giant squid mic before I actually buy Thanks Darrell

Giant Squid sells a special one that lets you record in mono mode on the iriver. Apparently, the irivier uses the right channel as mono.
