Bluetooth Wireless Mic
Hey guys,
On a whim, i purchases a HC-3 HDV camera from sony and along with it, I thought I try this bluetooth wireless mic from sony. Its the ECM-HW1. I'm actually throughly impressed with it. Although it has limitations such as a 100ft line of sight range and the transmitter sticks out like a sore thumb if you clip it to somebody, it sounds great. I used it as a backup to my UHF mics and I wouldn't mind using it as a regular part of my weddings. I can just set it up on a podium and go with it. Another limitation is that I think it only works with sony cameras. I'm not sure if it'll work on a FX1 though. Yooch |

Thanks for the test run and feedback on that equipment. Real world tests like that are always useful for people interested in new equipment and how it can help a production.

No problem. Oh I forgot to mention that it connects to the hotshoe of the HC3. This is why I am not sure if it works with the FX1 cameras.
