Right angle plug important for 800 series, where jack is on the side. 700's have jack on the end, so right angle plug not really needed. I have rt angle on mine, but think either one would be okay.

Cord length depends on your application. Some of my cords are only 6 inches long

yep as said, I have 2 x 790's and i use the straight plug in the end of the iriver works well, also 1 x 2ft lead for wedding vows and one normal i think they are 5 or 6 ft. you cant go wrong with this setup a real bargain/quality hit !!!!!

I use a 3 foot cord length. The iriver goes into the groom's jacket pocket and the mic clips to his lapel, a few inches above his naval. I keep it low so that bride and groom voices will be closer to the same sound level.

Hi Dan, I just purchased 2 mic's and when I talked to Darren he encouraged the 90 deg. ends for my 795's. I think you would be happy either way although if they are laying down in a pocket that would make them a little shorter, as to fit better in a short pocket. TAG
