Which Field Monitor to buy?
Hi,
I'm looking for a 5"-7' field montitor to mostly pull focus and to make adjustments (aperature, iso, shutter)..I don't want cheap but don't want to spend a fortune either. It will be used for weddings off a dslr 7d camera with hdmi.Budget is around $300 Is there any recommendations? Thank you! |

SmallHD is amazing - pin sharp and good focus peaking

Re: Which Field Monitor to buy?
I noticed most of these monitors require sony batteries...I was hoping for a 12v battery pack so that it can last a whole day (or close to it).
How long do the sony batteries last on these monitors? Thanks |

Re: Which Field Monitor to buy?
I use 2 NP-F550 batteries on my SmallHD and that's enough for ceremony and speeches with some to spare but of course you could use 2 NP-F970 batteries and it would be good for all day!

+1 for the Black Magic Video assist. Canon batteries. Takes two and are hot swappable. Plus it's a recorder as well if you want it to be.

Re: Which Field Monitor to buy?
I got a 7" Lilliput field monitor. The resolution is good it's around $300. SmallHD is probably lighter but at 2-4x the price.
