large tripod bag w/wheels
I am looking for a very large bag that I can carry 2 large tripods and some extra gear in. I want one that rolls and has a hard bottom liner. I am looking for one that is around 50 inches long..Any suggestions?

Re: large tripod bag w/wheels
Check out the Manfrotto LW-99W PL.
Personally I have the LW-88W and I find it really handy as I can fit two Manfrotto tripods + heads, monopod, portable light stand, slider and glidecam. It's true that it's pricey, but considering how handy it is I think it was money well spent. |

Re: large tripod bag w/wheels
I can recommend this Cinevate case: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/830005-REG/Cinevate_Inc_CWSC_42_Camera_Slider_Grip_Case.html
It's smaller than the Manfrotto Malcolm mentions (Manfrotto interior dimensions are 42.52 x 15.75 x 9.45"; the Cinevate is 41.25 x 10.25 x 10.5"), but it looks cheaper as well. Don't know how it compares to the Manfrotto, but two of these Cinevate bags have served me well for a number of years, and been to Fiji and Bali and back, without the zipper or anything else breaking, and those wheels have gone over all sorts of terrain. Note: two problems with these large cases: (1) they don't necessarily easily fit into cars or cramped hotel rooms when doing bride/groom prep; (2) the temptation is to fill them -- that's what you buy them for -- but maybe your back won't thank you. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I went and bought this one.Kaces KPHD46W 46- Inch Hardware Bag with wheels
We have one at work and finally found it online. It holds a lot of gear and only 75 dollars on Amazon. |

Re: large tripod bag w/wheels
I use something like this (similar to this, but not exact) for hauling a big Sachtler tripod, a 16' broken-down jib, AND dolly with wheels into this case. I also put in 30# weights in the front pocket, then roll the whole thing around. Works like a dream.

Re: large tripod bag w/wheels
I bought this last year - one of my best ever purchases. Think it's designed for drum hardware.
Might be overkill for just two tripods. For me it holds two tripods, two lightstands, a monopod and a slider. Gator Drumcart 'Golf Caddy' Style Vertical Hardware Bag with wheels: Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments |

Re: large tripod bag w/wheels
Hi Clive,
Thanks for the link. Just what I was looking for myself - on order. My old Manfrotto tripod bag just wasn't cutting it with all my latest gear and is hellish to carry for more than a few yards. |
