Has anyone used OneStop Digital for purchases?
I bought a Samyang 14mm which lasted about 9 months before the aperture dial failed. I sent it back to OneStop Digital who arranged a carrier to Hong Kong. It was returned to me but only got to Heathrow where, for some customs reason that they fail to explain to me, it was sent back!
I've now been getting the run around for the last month or so from OneStop Digital about waiting to hear from Hong Kong post - despite the parcel having a tracking number. Anyone had a similar experience? |

Not with onestop digital but with Simply electronics who are a similar outfit.
These grey import companies are famous for a few shady workings. With simply they replace the camera serial number with one from a different type of product so they pay less import duty. We found this out when we had to have a 7D serviced by Canon and the external number didnt match the internal number written to the jpegs. They classed it as counterfeit and sent it back unrepaired. Lesson learnt, pay the extra, go UK.
