Would I be crazy?
To think about buying a camera like this?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PD150-Video-Ca...QQcmdZViewItem I'm looking to get back into video production after many years away from it, however I don't want to go spending thousands at the moment until I am positive I am ready for it. I'm looking to get a decent camera for quite cheap to practise at home before taking bookings for anything. Would I be crazy to use this for my first year? How many years before todays cameras start to die on you? Seller states there are no dead pixels, would you expect there to be some soon? Any advice appreciated! |

The PD150 is an industry standard and very reliable. You can't go wrong as long as it is in the shape the seller claims. Also it is the PAL version so if you are here in the US that will cause some problems.

Hi, yes it's def a PD150 or a PD170 I am looking to get, I just mean the amount of hours it's been operating for. I had heard someone else on a forum complain about new heads costing too much after way less operating time than this one, so I just wasn't sure if you should stay away from a camera after a certain amount of operating time or whether they will run for a lifetime? Suppose it depends on each camera etc...
