Wear a long coat with lots of pockets. Those ones with a large poachers pockets on the inside are good.

Don't forget the other stuff that you will need. Batteries, battery charger(s) laptop or other means of backing up cards. If everything is at the hotel you may be able to charge batteries during the event but I would want to take at least 10 to be on the safe side.
