Re: What's in a name?
"what's in a name - a rose by any other name would smell as sweet..."
but do you want to sniff something called a stinkweed? it's all part of your marketing plan - you want a name that catches the attention of your prospective clients - the ones that don't know you, have never heard of you. give them a reason to stop and check out your website give them a reason to look at your samples you might produce quality work but if you're called Bog Standard video Productions you're not giving anyone a reason not to move on down the page to something more interesting, something that grabs your attention. my wedding brand is Relive the Day because "that's our aim, to help you relive the day" it's not only the name it;s a key phase used throughout our promotional material. if you're well established and have a reputation and heaps of referrals then it's not as important, in fact you'd use your name to help sell the product. but if you're new to the field and out there competing with the rest on the internet or at expo's - you need a name, a catchphrase, a theme to grab their attention. |
