Are you asking about 8mm video cameras (which I assume no one is using anymore) or 8mm or Super 8mm film cameras?

Sankyo and goodnight
Can't imagine why anyone would want to use Standard 8mm film either.
I still have my Super 8 camera (which has done a good few weddings in its time) and it still works, but I don't use it any more, "Sankyo" very much. |

Canon 814 XL-S. Here's that sweet old camera eating Ektachrome and butting heads with the 5D:

Now THAT'S what I would call effective use of Super 8. No "bad home movie" clichés, just the inimitable quality of the film. Thanks for posting - maybe I should dust off my own Super 8 camera after all.
PS: How did you capture the Super 8 footage? It looks like it was properly telecined. |
