Zoom H1
I shot a wedding last Saturday using the Zoom H1 as my back-up recorded. When I played it back after the wedding all I heard was the groom’s heartbeat. Can someone share with me what are the best settings when using the H1 with a Lav mic.

Auto level should be off. The H1's auto leveling blows.

Gary, it may be a long shot but did your groom by chance have a pacemaker?
It would have surprised me because many are radio controlled and users are sometimes recommended to avoid radio mics anyway. |

You sure you had the lav mic selected and not the Zoom's own? - I have the H2 and never had a problem (too bulky for a jacket pocket however)
