Going back for more footage?

As I mentioned on a previous thread, I just shot my first wedding last Saturday. Unfortunately, I had only a few days notice, and was not able to get any time reserved with the B&G on the wedding day. All I was able to do was shoot as events unfolded, and was not able to direct any of the action.

How unusual would it be to ask to go back and get some more footage of the bride? I do know she was planning on having some portraits taken of her on her horse with the full gown sometime soon. I'm thinking of trying to get together with her at that time.

If she is indeed having a photosession in her gown I think it's a fantastic opportunity to shoot some artistic work. Make sure you secure permission from the bride AND photographer to tag along. Good luck- sounds like a great opportunity.

I agree, if its possible, use the opportunity. If I miss a shot of the exteriors I'll go back, and shoot when the weather is the same.
