If someone books me for that day, I will be honest and tell the client that I have prior commitments and I can send an associate to shoot for me.

My 2 cents.
This is getting a bit out of topic.. but my concern with Noel is that other friends will expect you to give free service or discount to them too. Otherwise they would think, "am I not friend enough for you?" .. it begins to seem as if you have a certain level of friendship in your circle.. and who knows, people might try to be as nicest to you just so that they can gain the benefit of getting discounts on their wedding day

I think if you need to do that, ask your friends to keep it a secret from anyone else.. that way nobody will know that you have a "friends rate". :)

My 2.5 cents :)

What I would do.
I can imagine if the couple moves 1000 miles to somewhere else, but I can't image that the whole family will go their to.
Can't you check with his family and just let them know that you want to get in touch with him.
What I don't understand ... aren't they curious about their wedding day ?

LOL@ Susanto. He must be in the circle of trust, you just don't get in =). Congratulations by the way for the win. Looking at the list I saw more new names aside from the familiar ones. Changing of the guards perhaps.
