Live Video Feed Host Recommendations
Hello,
I have a client that wants a live video feed to tthe web of their wedding reception. My cam has firewire and rca out connections. I'm aware of ustream.tv, but wanted to know if there are any other FREE reliable options that can be recommended. Btw, the customer has about 15-20 people that they would like to have view the reception live from the web. Also, since this is my first live feed I'm not charging a lot, so any options recommended should be free or of very minimal cost. My setup would be a vx2100 w/ firewire to a laptop that has high speed internet and a firewire connection. Is ustream my best option? Also, if there is anyone else currently doing this I would like to know your setup? Thanks, Troy |

Live Video Feed Host Recommendations
For 0$s you can download Windows Media Encoder which will take a firewire feed and encode and stream straight to the web. Heaps of various encode settings for virtually any bandwidth stream. The one proviso being that your laptop has sufficent processor power to do the job. Just make sure you download the correct one for your OS version, XP, Vista, Win 7. WME is available in either 32 or 64-bit versions.
