I would wait until the XH-A1 replacement is possibly announced at NAB in April. At the least, the XH price should drop.

I used to shoot using the XH-A1 a few years ago. I shoot weddings, events and interviews. I upgraded to a different camera. I dont think I would invest in that old of a camera at this point. It is capable of fantasic footage, but it will shoot crap too, especially in low light.

However, if you are going for a tape based camera, it's as good as it gets.
